Kardash (of Saskatoon’s Junior Pantherz and The Blood Lines) and secured national distribution through Scratch Records In the same year, the band climbed hand-over-hand out of the local scene and garnered attention across the Country, with tours taking them as far as New York City on two separate occasions.

A dynamic center between driving punk, art rock experimentation, and thinking mans pop, the band’s sound is simultaneously thought provoking and infectious. Their debut effort Designs captures their sound and live energy and layers it with full strings, choir, accordion, and so much more. With as much time invested in its texture and subliminal as its hooks and immediate pay-offs, Designs is a debut of immense promise for this Western Canadian quintet who scratch you in places you didn't even realize needed itching. As the cliché goes "there's something for everybody” and that means you!

With the addition of engaging, energetic performances From Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Z has been ear-marked as a band “you just have to see” by Winnipeg’s Uptown Magazine.

Ich küsse meinen Sohn auf die Stirn
Hab' ihm alles beigebracht, was ich weiß
Er sagt: „Bitte lass' uns nicht alleine!"
Krallt sich verzweifelt fest an meinem Bein
Ich klopfe an die Schlafzimmertüre
Schatz, ich verstehe du bist wütend
Du wirst neu anfangen
Dich neu verlieben

New York versinkt in den Fluten
Massenpanik in Berlin
Alles brennt

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "From Chimpan-A To Chimpan-Z's song 1" convey a sense of emotional depth and introspection. The song starts with a tender moment between a parent and child, with the singer kissing their son on the forehead and expressing a desire not to be left alone. The child clings desperately to their parent's leg, highlighting a strong bond and sense of dependence.

As the song progresses, we are exposed to a scene of conflict as the singer knocks on the bedroom door, acknowledging their partner's anger and suggesting a fresh start. The partner questions if the singer will ever return, prompting the singer's hesitation in responding truthfully.

The repetition of the lines "Ich bleib' für immer, Für immer auf der Fusion" throughout the song emphasizes a sense of permanence and commitment. The concept of "Fusion" could symbolize a merging of different aspects of life or relationships, suggesting a desire to remain intertwined and connected despite challenges.

Amidst vivid descriptions of chaos and destruction in cities like New York and Berlin, the singer indicates that they are in a better place, transcending earthly concerns. The mention of a festival wristband signifies a connection to a higher spiritual experience, with a rejection of traditional religious beliefs in favor of music and community.

Overall, the song seems to reflect themes of love, conflict, resilience, and spiritual seeking. It portrays a complex emotional landscape where relationships are tested, personal values are questioned, and a sense of belonging and transcendence is sought through music and shared experiences.
