Set within a 1890's Venetian Gothic landmark building, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel offers a historically-influenced setting in the Chicago Loop. Designed by the award-winning Roman & Williams firm, the hotel combines old-world style infused with athletic accents, and modern amenities. Guest rooms and suites feature vintage-inspired custom furnishings, such as wooden gym ladders reimagined into wall shelves, nightstands with leather grips from tennis rackets, and boxing-style bathrobes. Beds feature custom Sferra linens and Faribault Woolen Mill blankets. There are bedside power centers with USB outlets, gourmet minibars with local products, and flat-screen TVs. While bathrooms have Carerra marble, rain showerheads, premium fixtures, and C.O. Bigelow bath products. Within the hotel there are five dining establishments, including Cindy's, a rooftop restaurant, terrace, and bar overlooking Millennium Park. The Cherry Circle Room serves regional classics, Shake Shack has quick service dining, and the Game Room features casual dining and a bar setting in the building's former billiards room with a bocce bay, shuffleboards, chess, and checkers tables. Plus, the Milk Room serves coffee and pastries by day, and transforms into a speakeasy style setting with classic and spirit-focused co*cktails. From May to November, the property offers guests Heritage Bicycles for exploring the city, and there is a 24-hour fitness center with trainer-led group runs along the lakefront on Saturday mornings, along with personal training and group sessions upon request.
