Very interesting article by Gaby Hinsliff published in The Guardian.I would simply like to comment that according to Mike Tyson, "social media has made it very comfortable to disrespect people without getting punched in the mouth for it." However, I do not believe that Elon Musk is responsible for the content of his platform, but rather the absolute freedom of expression that it allows reveals the hatred <resentment, envy, racism, etc.> that exists in society regardless of its permission. It simply makes it visible. It exposes it.Is it really important to impose yourself on haters by force of fists perpetuating cannibalism or would it be better to start reaching out and establishing a genuine dialogue focused on building a respectful society? <Warning: watch out that they do not take advantage of the moment to bite your hand and then blame you>. We don't just need good feelings: We need to mature.

"The worsethe cellphone coverage is, the nicer people are. It's just that simple," said Emanuel — former Chicago mayor, Democratic congressman and White House chief of staff. "If it's spotty, people are actually decent."Why it matters:Emanuel was part of a flood of reaction to yesterday's "Behind the Curtain" column onAmerica's reality distortion machine,Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen write. On almost everytopic of outrage, the column points out, fringe views and edge cases are being shamelessly amplified by social media and politicians.Rarely do we hearfrom across the political spectrum, in real time, that an article has resonated so deeply — and made a point everyone should reckon with."Polarization is a choice, not a destiny,"Steven Law,a longtime GOP insider who runs the Senate Leadership Fund super PAC, told us aftertweetinghis agreement with the column."It's amplifiedby what the media chooses to highlight and what it finds uninteresting. For the rest of us, it's fed by choosing to stick with our tribe instead of being open to other people and perspectives, even if they make us uncomfortable."A longtime Democrat agrees.Kalee Kreider— a former aide to Al Gore who' is now president of the Ridgely|Walsh advisory firm, and lives on a farm outside Nashville — says America isn't as divided as we think."I am a memberof one of the oldest churches in Tennessee, Bethlehem Church of Christ, and my community is called Tuckers Crossroads," she told us. "I dearly love my neighbors. And while I feel sure that most of the people who live near me are Republicans, we honestly just don't talk about it much."Discussing the column on "Morning Joe,"Jim said that if you're living on X or TikTok, "people who have the loudest voices, who often say the most provocative things, tend to dominate that conversation. And it leaves you thinking: 'Wait, does everyone think this? Does everyone feel this? Is everyone so worked up that they're maybe about to conduct a civil war to defend their party versus the other?'""And you realize:No! Most people actually have a life. Most people aren't making politics of the beer you drink or the store that you shop at."Willie Geistsaid during the "Joe" conversation that he calls this under-covered majority "normies."The New Yorker'sEvan Osnos, whointerviewed President Bidenin the Oval Office in January, told us: "We have way more in common than the fringe on either side would suggest. One other person who believes this: Joe Biden."The bottom line:We'll end where we ended Monday's column — with a thought experiment. In a given year, you meet scores or more people you spend enough time with to appraise their character. How many do you think are decent, normal people who do volunteer work, help shovel after a storm, look out for family and neighbors?

Do you support the freedom of speech? The ability to tell a joke? No matter how offensive it is!To articulate what you believe in, even if it's against the predominant opinion where you live? The battle between Elon Musk and the British govt should give pause to those across the world who disagree with govt policy? The argument is wonderfully articulated here by Actor and comedian #RowanAtkinson. Comedians are usually the canaries in the coal mine and he is right, he wont be touched, but the very aggressive labelling that is being applied to people who are simply questioning policy is counterproductive. For those causing actual violence - throw the book at them, I have zero tolerance for hate mongers and those who attack another human being for the color of their skin, for their religious beliefs or their gender preference. Though when judges are giving longer prison sentences for Facebook posts than for violent and sexual crimes, you know there are fundamental flaws in the system. Look this up if you want to see how egregious the overreach often is.For all the issues that the US faces in the run up to the 2024 election, they are at least blessed with this protection that their forefathers were wise enough to embed in the foundation of their nations founding principals. So often you hear how people support freedom of speech right up until they disagree with what's being said. Now we all know that it is illegal to shout 'fire' in a crowded place but applying draconian laws to questioning government policy, or judicial over corrections seems like some states are going down a very dark path.I get that people agree with these laws and policies, and usually, out of a sense of civic duty and responsibility.... but I see the path some states are on with the inconsistent application of the law.I would love to hear your thoughts... all comments should be respectful but a difference of opinion is genuinely welcome.Where is the line that freedom of speech ends and criminality begins?Michel Birnbaum Anthony Mayne CAHRI Vince Mader Jack R. Think about it, what's the alternative? Allowing a threatening 71-year-old man with cold blue eyes and huge bombs to decide what gets published? That's a frightening thought. I've felt the sting of Flashback's whip myself, but I accept it. It's a part of the open, democratic dialogue we need. Today, I want to give recognition to Jan Axelsson 🌟. In 1983, he started 'Dead or Alive' magazine, and ten years later, in 1993, he founded the forum 'Flashback'. Jan has been fighting for free speech for 40 years. There's a lot of criticism about Flashback, but how often have we checked it when something big happens? Just minutes after a street bombing, we get unfiltered news. Minutes after a rapper is shot, Flashback tells us what happened 🚨.Recently, my street was in chaos. It took hours for the regular media to report, but on Flashback, I found answers just 5 minutes after hearing gunshots. Sure, we can debate the transparency and ethics of naming individuals. But in a world where we value open democracy, we must also accept its downsides.Axelsson is Sweden's leading hero for free speech.#FreedomOfSpeech #OpenDemocracy #RealHeroes

I, Kamala Harris, senior Democrat candidate for president because Joe Biden finally exposed the senility of the debate. Thanks, Joe. I was selected because I am the ultimate diversity hire. I'm both a woman and a person of color. So if you criticize anything I say, you're both sexist and racist.I may not know the first thing about running the country, but remember, that's a good thing if you're a deep state puppet. I had four years under the tutelage of the ultimate deep state puppet, a wonderful mentor, Joe Biden. Joe taught me rule number one, carefully hide your total incompetence.take insignificant things and I discuss them as if they're significant. And I believe that exploring the significance of the insignificant is in itself significant. Talking about the significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time and there is such great significance to the passage of time. Another trick is trying to sound black.I pretend to celebrate Kwanzaa. And in my speeches, I always do my best Barack Obama impression. So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's tight. And okay, look, maybe my work addressing the root causes of the border crisis were catastrophic, but my knowledge of international politics is truly shocking. The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea. It is an alliance that is strong and enduring. And just remember when voting this November, it is important to see what can be unburdened by what has been. And by what has been, I mean, Joe Biden. You think the country went to over the past four years? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Why Elon Musk said "DEI must DIE" It would seem obvious to assume that Elon Musk is a powerless and pained parent who is hurting and lashing out to the world while doing so. Blaming the expensive Santa Monica K-12 school called Crossroads, for the fact that his daughter, born a son and formerly known as Xavier Alexander Musk, legally changed her gender and name to Vivian Jenna Wilson. A quick dive into the Elon Musk biography soon paints a picture that may leave you wondering if he is a genius ahead of his time or that we should simply reshuffle the letters to his name to 'Lone Skum'. His fixation with the letter X. Did the SpaceX CEO rename 'Twitter' to 'X' as an emotional response to the troubled relationship with his 'lost son' Xavier? Not only, did the lone billionaire blame neo-Marxist colleges for his oldest child's views, Elon stated: "She went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that everyone rich is evil". Tesla CEO Elon Musk has gone as far as to removing any reference to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion from his company policy. Which coincides with the recently passed law in Texas against educating the Critical Race Theory in schools, disregarding the theory of the existence of systemic racism in laws and rules. This will probably also come in effect at his other companies like payment platform Paypal, Twitter and SpaceX. Father of 11 children, 10 living, 5 through IVF by three women and two surrogates, the in Pretoria, South Africa, born billionaire shows signs of a Nietzche's Übermensch personality. A man-god enforcing his own views under no authority than his own (superior) moral compass. Only to be stopped by the law, for not being able to write the name of his 8th child 'Y' as '?' and hence having to resort to 'Y', pronounced as "why", following child number seven named: 'X'. Just like his former company X.com, that merged with Confinity Inc to Paypal. Making it a lot more By claiming death to DEI, does Elon Musk disregard the reality of many of us meandering the (corporate) world we live in? Does it extinct any chance of self-reflection on the intersectionality of race, gender, class and disability on corporate level? Not acknowledging that race is a social construct, creates the same dynamics that lead to Apartheid in South Africa and Neo-Nazism post world war II. With Elon Musk heading a leading company in fin-tech, social media and space research, many will blindly follow in his footsteps, without grasping the whole construct of the mindset of this intellectual tech design genius. Disregarding the fact that emotional, physical and spiritual intelligence cannot be excluded from the equation of a balanced and safe workplace. While the billionaires continue to shape the world we live in, we continue to fight the daily challenges and legal battles against #adyen we are faced with in real life. THE BOBBY PIN CLUB. Who says men don't like to wear BOBBY pins? We know what the two major parties are AGAINST. They are against each other. But what are they FOR? Have we been relegated to defining ourselves by wasting time casting aspersions on our fellow Americans? Sure seeing a lot of that on social media and L.I.!!The Democrats are so lost and desperate that they are moving to disallow other Democratic candidates from even being part of the primary. We should rename them the Tyranny Party! They clearly have their plan. Biden will likely be relinquishing all his un-Democratic delegates at the convention to someone like Newsome. In other words, no choice from the people- your voice does not matter. Of course, it is no better with Trump. Dictator is what he sees in the mirror. How about a different, long overdue approach? One of Unity, Solutions, Healing, and a return to American Independence?"I don't want to know what side you're on. I want to know what you care about"- Robert F. Kennedy , Jr. The best part is: he means it. We are being offered a gift we do not deserve. Are we willing to throw it away in favor of feeding our own demise in this duopolistic nightmare? Do not be motivated by fear.Who says men don't like Bobby pins? I am launching a Male Bobby Pin Club. I invite you to join me. Or better yet, get to know this once-in-a-lifetime candidate by listening to him directly. He will leave you saying "I can't believe I opposed this man. He speaks the Truth". RFK Jr. is David fighting Goliath. Nothing less than a modern-day Galileo. #Kennedy24

Some Rules for Our CommunityAt The Root Cause, we don't do the outrage train! We don't do hate. We don't do anger. We don’t do labels. Why, you might ask? Doesn’t this compromise free speech rights? The short answer to the second question is No! Our policies do not abrogate free speech rights because The Root Cause is not a government entity. Further, free speech does not guarantee there are no repercussions from your speech. If you continually post hateful, venomous, bile-filed crap, then you will be blocked. Period. If this is your game, might we suggest hate-posting on https://zurl.co/9cEd or other crappy Facebook pages. Not here. As for the first question, why? The answer is simple. It doesn’t help. The Root Cause is a community of people who are dedicated to starting to solve the world's greatest problems through honesty, dialogue, critical thinking, and data-driven analytics. We are committed to respecting one another's perspectives with these goals always in mind. Please read and comment on our credo - https://zurl.co/VSEe , a first attempt at a mission statement if you will. How can we make it better? More all-encompassing? What have we missed?

“Diversity & Inclusion is getting out of hand!” They say… Businesses should prioritise diversity and inclusion, as it demonstrates to consumers and employees that they are committed to providing opportunities for everyone. A few of my favourite myths…🗣️ D&I benefits only certain groups🗣️ D&I is only about race🗣️ D&I is just about women Well, here’s a few statistics… ✅ Diverse teams make better business decisions 87% of the time, and inclusive teams make decisions twice as fast.✅ Inclusive companies are 1.7 times more likely to be innovation leaders.✅ 76% of job candidates say a diverse workforce is an important factor when considering a company or job offer.✅ 81% of employees who believe they work in an inclusive culture are also happy in their jobsAnd MUCH MORE! 🎉Every individual deserves a chance to showcase their skills, and incorporating D&I within a company creates an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

🙄Emmmm… When did we decide that freedom of speech should only apply to ideas we agree with?In light of the recent interview with Elon Musk and Donald Trump—and especially the reactions from the mainstream media—I’ve been reflecting once again on the limits of our freedom of speech. Freedom of speech includes the right to share any opinion, no matter how controversial. Yet, I find it ironic that ‘woke’ Europe seeks to cancel certain content while simultaneously criticizing Russia for doing the same. Hello, double standards! 😂 But of course, I forgot: we’re the ‘good guys’ with the absolute truth, and everyone else is wrong 🥸.Anyway, tbh why shouldn’t people be able to discuss conspiracy theories? 🙅🏼♀️ It’s simply someone expressing doubt about an existing system, sometimes with valid arguments, sometimes not. But let people argue and discuss. If that’s not for you, well, here’s some practical advise: Simply don’t engage. I can’t say it often enough: Instead of censorship, education is the only answer. There’s no need to defame or gaslight people. real conversations rather than shutting them down. What do you think? How do we balance freedom of speech with the need for responsible dialogue? 🤔#FreeSpeech #Censorship #CriticalThinking #DoubleStandards
